Read This Article if You Like the Sun

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

By Lance Winslow Do you like the Sunny Days, arent they great? Did you know that in areas where it rains half the years or is mostly dark that people have severe depression? It is true, in fact there are more mental health problems in the Northern US States than in the sunny states. There are less suicides, depression and drug and alcohol abuse per capita. Did you know there are less stress related illnesses too? In fact it is so says a recent research study by a major University. Many ancient cultures worshiped the Sun; Sun Worshipers. Indeed, it is amazing that such Sun worship was common around the globe and there are some Sun Worshipping Religions going on even today. Apparently from the all studies this seems to makes a lot of sense. Did you know the Sunny Florida, Arizona and Southern Nevada and Southern California have the highest rates of population growth? Many people interviewed in Florida had lived in the Northeast and come to visit and decided to stay, actually purchasing a home during their visit. Others had come on a winter vacation to ditch the bad weather and decided to stay all winter. Many people snowbirds do this and it is very trendy indeed. Lately something new has happened and that is people come to visit and stay all year. Most are quite satisfied with their decision, well except this year due to the Hurricane Season. But they say; that is the cost for living in the Sunny Paradise! Think on this, because if you love the Sun there must be a good reason for it. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. Billing Woes For Telcos

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Arun_Tibrewal]Arun Tibrewal The rapid rise in the telecom industry over the last few years has been an event cheered by many. Today, Indian market is the second largest growing market in the world. And considering the vastly increasing population coupled with increasing economic prosperity, the telecom companies have nothing to fret about. Yet, there are certain chains that are shackling the growth in the telecom. While many companies have paid due emphasis to coverage technology, installing expensive equipment all across for better coverage, they are yet to pay proper attention to their back-end, mostly importantly the billing systems. Quite many telecom companies still have in place archaic billing systems, these software applications were bought off-the-shelf and are complex beyond imagination. Not are they slow on processing or what is better known as ‘turn around’ time, but are also not scalable to the ever-changing needs of the company. Hence, there are still a lot of services (related to billing) that many operators are unable to provide. In such a scenario, Swastik Infotech Pte Ltd. has launched one of the most revolutionary telecom billing system in the marketplace. Christened as e-Biller, this system promises to put an end to all the discrepancies that arise out of the traditional billing systems. The biggest breakthrough of e-Biller over other such systems is the ease that it offers to the companies to plug in new services without any hassles. This innovative billing system has been designed keeping in mind the present needs and the future requirements of the telecom companies. It is scalable and can be easily configured to suit the changing requirements. It is also easily compatible with latest technologies like ASP.Net (Active server pages) and works efficiently in Dot Net platform. e-Biller is a robust system that has been rigorously tested for any sort of inconsistencies. It also comes from the stables of Swastik Infotech, a company having an enviable track record in the marketplace. How To Lose Weight With South Beach Diet

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

By Monice Dulcinea While the Atkins Diet is losing its popularity fast, the South Beach Diet is getting more devoted fans around the world. The South Beach Diet is NOT a traditional low-carb diet plan. It was developed by Miami cardiologist Arthur Agatston in order to help dieters lose weight through "good carbs" and "good fats". Why "Good Carbs"? Because when you eat "bad carbs", your body creates what it’s called an "insulin resistance" syndrome — meaning your body cannot properly process body fat or sugar. Why "Good Fats"? Because when you eat "bad fats", you only increase your chance of developing heart diseases. The Three Phases of the South Beach Diet 1. Phase One (2 weeks) In this phase, avoid high-glycemic foods, such as ice cream, sports drinks, glucose sugar, maltose sugar, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, chips, donuts, waffles, rice cakes, wafer biscuits, white bread, bagel, baguette, pretzels, rice pasta, instant rice, watermelon, jellybeans, and cornflakes. As a result, your body will lose its insulin resistance, and begin to use excess body fat. You can expect to lose between 8 and 13 pounds. Individual results may vary. 2. Phase Two (no time limit) In this phase, try to reintroduce the right carbs slowly, such as fruit and whole-grain breads and pastas. Continue to eat low-glycemic foods, such as multigrain bread, barley, grapefruit, apple, pear, orange, cherries, lettuce, spinach, pepper, green beans, tomatoes, artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, lentils, soy beans, kidney beans, low fat yoghurt, soy milk, grapefruit juice, and fructose sugar. There is no time limit for this phase. Just follow it until you reach your weight loss goal. 3. Phase Three This phase begins when you reach your desired weight. In this phase, include three servings of whole grains and three servings of fruit a day. Tips If you want to lose weight with the South Beach Diet, you should eat whole grains, certain vegetables and fruits, along with the good fats, such as olive oil and fish. Don’t forget to choose lean sources of protein. Make sure you always count calories and limit your servings. The most important thing is you should avoid overly refined foods, high fat meats, and saturated fats. Feel free to publish this article as long as you keep all links live and clickable. Humans Are Divine Creatures Made in the Image of God

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

By Lance Winslow Many a Pastor, Cleric, Priest, Bishop or Pope has stated that; Humans Are Divine Creatures Made in the Image of God. You know barf me and gag me with a spoon, what a crock of crap. Look humans you need to grow up and look outside and observe the world and see for yourself that humans are no more divine than any other creature on this pale blue dot. There are no personality or behavioral characteristics to prove otherwise from the higher order mammals around us. Human brains and bodies all work similarly to the other animals on the surface of the planet. Some say we need more scientific proof to show that humans are different than animals? What? Why? We can observe the proof right before our eyes. In fact each year more and more data comes in from observations of sea life, birds and brain waves of other mammals that they think, reason and use various parts of their brains the same way humans do. The fact that humans have a more developed brain gives them more options and ways to use it. But that is not to say that a less limited brain in another species does not use it to strategize to get what it wants. I just have too many real observation of animals to think otherwise. At Horse Shows, horses when traveling will line up at the nicer horse trailers as their experiences tell them that it will be a less bumpy ride. My dog use to hang out at the neighbors house, when he washed his truck, because he knew the neighbor would go drive around afterwards and my dog enjoyed going for a ride, but he did not really like the neighbor, as the neighbor was rude to him, but would hang out only when he washed the truck, Half Lab and Half Australian Shepard did not mind getting wet from the neighbor purposefully spraying him. I can name hundreds of examples of all sorts of animals from my running and jogging experience, both wild and domesticated of similar behaviors to humans. Science has been doing fRMI and other types of brain scans and studies, which show similarities. When looking at Jane Goodalls work all the way forward to the present day with DARPA and the Chimpanzee playing on the computer with brain waves to get free bananas? There is just way too much proof to say that animals are so different than humans that humans warrant a different classification. And as far a humans experimenting on animals, well my cat use to experiment with its food too, carefully batting it around and then carefully dissecting mice as it ate them or birds it had caught. And since I have 100 plus examples of real observation, I do not need to categorize, classify or quantify what is known you see? I am right. I think it might be better for those who think humans are not animals to give me proof that humans are different. So consider this in 2006. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. Contact Lenses Explained And Compared To Glasess

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Declan Tobin Many people over the past ten years have changed from glasses to contact lenses but are they really worth it? This is a question that you need to answer for yourself. Many people change to contacts as they find them less expensive to purchase and certainly less expensive to replace. If you lead an active life well contacts are for you Most people involved in some sort of sporting activity much prefer contact lenses and thats for the obvious reasons. Contacts are less dangerous and many sporting organisations will not let you participate if you are wearing glasses. Many parents are now opting for lenses over glasses for their children as a safety precaution. Kids live active lives and with lenses at least you have some piece of mind, if your child falls as they do, glass in the eye will not be an issue. Change your eye color with colored lenses Over the past four years we have seen a trend developing in colored lenses. Many people who do not even need contacts are buying clear lenses for fashion reasons. They are relatively inexpensive and it a fun way to see what you would look like with a different eye color or shade. Im to old too change from glasses to lenses You are never too old to move to contact lenses. Many older people imagine lenses taking to much time to install and an expensive on going commodity. Your eye specialist will do your first installation and will prove just how easy and quickly it is to put the lenses in. The only thing I will say is that, lenses can take a few day to get used to. Your pupils need a small amount of time to adjust but once over this minor issue you will never look back. What type of lenses do I require? Research has shown that over 80% of people using contact lenses are currently using soft contacts. Your doctor will best advise you. You will need an eye test for lenses. This test is different to the test for glasses so you will need one. Cleaning your lenses is very important Always clean your lenses. Unlike glasses the lenses have to be inserted over the pupil and cleaning will keep away the risk of infection. You can purchase the cleaning solution very cheaply. I wear glasses because I have astigmatism, can contacts help with this? Yes they can. Toric contact lenses are used tackle people with astigmatism. Unlike most contacts these lenses remain stationary in the eye and do not move around. You can get soft lenses in the Toric range. Toric can cost a little extra but some people find them more comfortable to wear than the standard. You can also get colored Toric lenses. What are Bifocal contact lenses? Bifocal contact lenses are used to tackle a problem called Presbyopia. Presbyopia is a common condition suffered by many. A clear sign of presbyopia is when you need to hold the newspaper or other content further away than normal to make out the content. Bifocal contact lenses operate very similarly to that of bifocal glasses. They have dual function and tackle persbyopia depending on your vision difficulty. The lenses operate to correct distance vision and also to repair short vision. Once again you can get the Bifocal contacts in different colored lenses. What about disposable contact lenses? Disposable lenses are by far the most type of lenses sold today. Many opticians (eye doctors) much prefer prescribing disposable lenses. The main reason being there is less chance of infection setting in. Disposables lenses are generally cheap and sold in packs (sometimes large quantities). They tend to be changed every two weeks or less. You still need to clean these lenses even tough you are changing them regularly. Where is the cheapest place to purchase contact lenses? The Internet is the cheapest place according to our sources. Watch out for delivery charges. You may be getting a great deal on the lenses in general but some companies load on with hefty delivery charges. Get the delivery in order and you will find great bargains for quality branded lenses. How to Match Your Hairstyle with Your Face Shape

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

By Sen Blo Usually, people try to build a look that can only be done by actually doing it but during that procedure other looks are designed. With no doubt, this is part of modern style evolution. I really love the celebrities who change their hairstyles frequently. I too love to change my looks a fair amount, so I love any woman with the confidence and style to tackle new hairdo’s. As I know for a woman the hair is very important I’m including some hairstyle guidelines and a face shape self test that you may find useful! They bare not rules, only suggestions. Of course, your stylist can help you decide the shape that match perfect your features. Or, you can do it yourself just slicking back your hair, and using an old lipstick to trace your face on the mirror. 1. Oval face shape matches better with gently rounded hairline, slightly narrowing it at the jawline. 2. If your face shape is rectangular avoid too much length, keep your hair just below cheekbones or around. 3. For a square face shape, try short-to-medium length of hair. 4. If you have an oval face shape, pay attention to cheeks and ears areas. Try a hair length longer than chin or short styles sweeping hair to the back. 5. For triangular face shape try a hair length that balances the narrower part Sen blo invites you to meet celebrities hairstyles here. Control Your Temper at Home While Depressed

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

By Justin Meyer One of the most harmful symptoms of depression is the short temper that it can leave you with. It can cause problems for you as well as your loved ones. How do you control your temper when things don’t go your way? There are a few very easy ways. The first is to walk away. If someone is causing you to get angry, and your fuse is particularly short at that point in time, just walk away. Anger, like some depression, is situational and will go away with time. Take a little walk and remove the cause of the anger. Another solution is to stop, take deep breaths and slowly count to ten, with odd numbers on the inhale and even numbers on the exhale. By using your body’s natural rhythm, you will be able to calm yourself because your body will focus on the breath. Finally, be careful what you say and do. It is very easy to lose control of your emotions here, but it is important to be careful not to hurt anyone you love. By remaining calm, you can ensure that no one, including yourself will get hurt. When you are angry, you are also vulnerable, and it could lead to further depression. You need to be sure that you are careful not to make your own symptoms worse. Brush Away Your Worries - Paintbrush Care

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

By Lorna Findlay If you like crafting, then you know one of the very best tools you can ever have is a paintbrush. Actually, if you are an avid crafter, then you’ll probably need a set or two or paintbrushes for all of your different painting needs. Paintbrushes come in all shapes and sizes, and you may feel overwhelmed when you go to the craft store to buy a new brush or two. That’s not everything-paintbrushes are also very expensive. In order to get the most out of your craft supplies, learn how to pick the correct brush for your needs and then take care of it so that you’ll be able to keep it for a long time. First, inspect the materials used to make the paintbrushes you see in stores. If you’re going to be doing quick projects with the kids or need to cover a lot of area with a thick coat of paint, consider purchasing foam brushes. At less than a dollar apiece, you can use these big brushes when your work doesn’t have to be tiny or neat-and best of all, you can throw them away when the craft project is finished. However, most of your crafting needs require a brush that is of better quality. Check out the artist’s paintbrushes, which are usually made from animal hair or a synthetic blend. Stiffer bristles work well for painting on canvas, but most crafters use softer brushes to do detailing work. Pick a variety of sizes so that you’ll have a brush for every project. After you bring your new brushes home, take them out of the package and clean them with soap and cool or lukewarm water. Never leave you brush standing in water-the bristle glue will loosen and your paintbrush will become misshapen. Instead, rinse thoroughly, blot dry, and rest horizontally to continue drying. Store your brushes horizontally if possible. When you are painting, keep the paint on the upper half of the bristles. When paint reaches the metal part, it is hard to remove and causes the brush to stick together or lose its shape. Clean your brush often when painting, even if you’re using the shape color. Before storing, clean your brush with soap and water. By following these tips, you can keep your brushes looking as new as possible for as long as possible, and they will help you paint more beautiful projects. Have Your Mocha and Fat Loss Too

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

By Lynn VanDyke You have made a commitment to lose 10 pounds in the next 2 months. You are eating well and working out regularly. You are committed in every way possible- except 1. Your specialty coffee drink of choice. Mochas, frappuccinos, breves and everything in between. You just cannot give up your daily cup of mocha madness. I don’t blame you. In fact I think the moment you begin to deprive yourself of anything you start a vicious cycle. You start craving the one thing you told yourself you cannot have. So what if we stop denying ourselves of our heavenly coffee drinks? Is it possible to still be on a diet and drink mochas? Yes, it absolutely is. And I am living proof that you can still indulge and have a fabulous body. I admit that I drink one mocha beverage per day. So if I can do it, you can do it to. Go ahead you have my permission! But before you run out the door and order 4 venti mocha fraps you should know a few other things. I think that allowing yourself a treat is good and necessary for long term success. The very first thing I think you should do is this- stop dieting. A diet implies negative emotions. It implies that you are restricting your calories and your joy. It also implies that you are going to stop eating according to the diet at some point. After all, who wants to diet all of their life? Not me. So let’s stop dieting. Let’s make a lifestyle change. Let’s focus more on things we should eat instead of things we should not eat. Let’s focus on all of our accomplishments and not on our failures. In fact, we do not even have failures. We simply had times when we were not as successful as we would have hoped. Let’s also get a few other things in place. Here are 5 tips to fat loss. Incorporate each of these 5 tips into your new lifestyle change. I know that you will see results. You will feel better, happier, and healthier. You will have more energy and more self-esteem. You will feel good about your body because you are living a clean and healthy life. Here are the 5 tips to fat loss- 1) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Each meal should be 2-3 hours apart. Each meal should contain one protein and one carb. The first meal should be eaten within an hour after waking. 2) Drink a glass of water at each meal. 3) Rest properly. This means taking at least 48 hours between strength training the same muscles, and it also means getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Lastly, it means taking 1-2 days off from exercising per week. 4) Cardio should be done at different intensity levels and different session lengths. Consider doing a low intensity/long session, a high intensity/short session and a few medium intensity/medium length sessions. Working at varying intensity levels will ensure a well-rounded routine. 5) Strength train each muscle 1-3 times per week. You should lift a proper weight and perform the proper amount of sets/reps for your strength training method. Strength training is not hard once you have an excellent routine in place. Focus on proper form and a full range of motion. All of the above tips combined will result in fat loss. Now that we are living a healthy life and not dieting we can let go of all guilt. So long as you follow these 5 tips to fat loss then you can have a non-fat venti mocha with whipped cream. The key is moderation. The secret to long-term success is to eat well, workout often and never, ever deprive yourself of your mocha.
